This is the second book by poetess Michelle that I have read. I would say both are spellbound. Earlier I read her 7th book, “It Ain’t Winning If Without You”.

7th Book of Michelle Ayon Navajas

The book shares a variety of love-based emotions and is able to clinch your heart, while this book shares feelings of trauma, suffering, abuse, harassment, negligence, separation and, of course, love. Both share a distinct plot still similar in a way that is bound to the sentiments of the bearer. But I must say the latter one left behind, the former one bedazzled me. Though the book has its own grace, it wasn’t as great as I expected in comparison to the book, “It Ain’t Winning If Without You”.

8th and Latest Book of the Poetess

“I Am In Itself Poetry In The Dark” reveals the darkest secret a victim keep in her heart and the horrific reality she faced. It delineates how the sufferer is fond of darkness, leaving every dearing moments behind. The book is divided into three parts.

Some Outstanding Poems

“Over” the poem keeps the deepest pain. “How dare you miss him”, the poem itself, is a relationship lesson for women that makes them remember the time, events and the freak for which they should never miss him (the love of their life who left them). It may not work for all, because not everyone had a toxic relationship, but the broken, forsaken ones will find it relatable. The poetess perspicuous the agony, very apparently, such women hold in their heart. “Heavy” the poem underlines the most frustrated condition of the possessor. The poem, “These Times” will shatter you if you experienced heartbreak. It will refresh the memory of that goodbye you have been striving to forget for years. Poetry, “I’ll die” is filled with hope, contradicting the darkness in the book and as opposite to its title. Whilst the whole book covers the unwelcoming phase of life, this poem is proof that there is light of divinity even in the darkest state. In this poem, the poetess adduced the extreme desire to be in heaven, to accompany God far away from any woes. Indeed, this one entails to every mind, because human nature says, they remember God when in pain. And whither is God’s name, light is there.

Ancillary Content

Some harassment terms are also defined in the book besides poems. Sentiments are also penned down comprehensively, not just through poems. It means not all the content is enclosed by poetry.

Acclaim To Poetess

The Poetess never fails to fetch the attention of readers towards kinds of poetry. She has a good knowledge of poetry that makes her work commendable. I can assume readers stick to her poems because of relatability and her way of expressing poetry. She makes a significant contribution to the genre. Ohh! Let me rectify, my favorite genre.
