Gayatri Mantra is typically a chandas, written in three lines with 8 syllables each. Gayatri Chandas translated as Mother of Knowledge from Sanskrit to Hindi, where Gayatri refers to knowledge and Chandas means mother.     Gayatri mantra and maha mritunjaya mantra I recite daily before sleeping. They have helped me to manifest inner peace and gratitude. I often chant shanti mantras during my meditation practice too. The chanting helps to bring clarity of thought and increased focus on the present moment.
